I could have kept going.
I think I could have gotten back to the big leagues, you know, before the year was over.
But it was going to be a little bit of an uphill battle.
And I came home for All-Star break and spent that time with my kids.
And I was like, I'm just... I felt...
that time I felt pulled out of baseball rather than pushed out.
The first time this was like, I still love the game.
I'm still enjoying the heck out of it.
It's hard right now.
Cause I'm getting, cause I'm 40 years old, but I was loving the challenge of it.
And I get home and I'm like, God, my kids just, they just need me home more than, you know, what I'm able to give right now.
So I, very different to get pulled away into something else that you're
probably more passionate about being a dad than getting pushed out by exhaustion.
So that's been way different.
And, you know, I'm probably going the same things that everybody goes through when they retire after a longer career.
And, you know, you don't wake up with that clear purpose of, I need to go to the gym, I need to go to physical therapy, I got to get my throne in.
That clear, you know,
schedule for the off season.
You know, I wake up and I'm like, ah, try to squeeze a workout in between carpool and, you know, the, the other things like that, that life, life calls for you.
But, um, so that's different, you know, you just, it's kind of nice though.
