Primarily 'cause they've got the guns.
To be clear, you know, they've got the guns and they're willing to use them.
And the nights sticks and the the body armored guys like in ice, you know, and they'll pull their guns on you.
Uh if if you try to if you try to punch into some of these areas that they believe are their secret domain.

The the Congress of the United States back in nineteen seventy three actually, I think, uh passed a statute uh called the Federal Criminal Racketeering Act.
It's actually called the the Federal uh Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act.

Robert Blakey uh wrote this for the he was the legal counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Uh and they crafted
this and it was a special aggressive uh conspiracy type statute.
that gave the uh the government prosecutors uh uh extreme power to penetrate into an organized crime organization.
Okay.
Now it is true that the primary focus of that was the mafia, the Sicilian mafia, you know, that everybody knows about from The Godfather, you know, the five families, et cetera.
