It's a total mad way to make a living because basically you're making a living playing other people.

Sometimes you catch yourself thinking, have I really chosen this as my life's work?

Yeah.

Well, my mum, for instance, she was a bank cashier at Midland Bank.

So I went to Italia Conti Stage School first before going to RADA.

So I did two years at normal secondary school.

And then I auditioned.

I actually auditioned in the second year for Italia Conti and got in and just couldn't do it because I couldn't leave that place.

you know, the normality of like a comprehensive in Essex and that.

I couldn't imagine myself getting on the central line, going from Buckersteel up to the Barbican.

And I bottled it and I didn't do it.

Wait, break that down for me.

Why though?

I don't know what it was.

I was sort of just intimidated by it.

It was too, for me being that young, it just felt like too much of a leap, you know.
