Peter, our guest this week is Sabrina Casalta, who is the head of Vodafone in Ireland and fascinating character herself because she's Italian.

Has quite clearly said, and I think not just in the interview that we did with her, but also in other media, she had never really, becoming a chief executive was never her lifelong ambition.

But then I found it interesting to get into... Like, I mean, they are the market-leading telecoms company in this country.

They have a huge...

part to play in the advance of this country and it just goes to show at times she gets into just how she's a very results driven person she demands a lot from her team she's you know demands high expectations and there's a high demand of her like double digit growth you know is what they're looking to do year on year not easy not easy so I thought a really good interview for us to get what do we know about Vodafone in Ireland what can you I suppose what's like what's from your perspective what's the interesting element of that as a business

But I was very interested in her take as a kind of an Italian national coming into Ireland, her impressions of the country, her infrastructure, the state of Vodafone's own position in the country.

dealing with government, like all of that is sort of, from an outsider's perspective, I'm always fascinated to see kind of an outsider's perspective on all this.

And very interesting, she says very clearly, we're very good at some stuff, we're kind of behind the curve on other stuff.

Vodafone's job is to, they're the market leader, they want to stay as that market leader.

And I even put it to her,

You know, we had Susan Brady in here in that business kind of case and how they go and compete.

So it is a competitive business and it's a competitive industry.

Yeah, because you did the interview with Susan Brady and I thought it was interesting, you know, because they were very clearly going after that will be that one stop solution for your business.

We will give you that kind of wraparound service.

Vodafone are clearly going for the same and want, you know, and as Sabrina was saying, you know,

A lot of the big businesses in Ireland are with Vodafone because of that incumbency almost, because of that position.
