I think having read the plan last night in preparation for the interview today,
Like, it's not pie in the sky.
Whereas I think previous plans put forward were, they were talking about how many numbers of corporate tickets they would sell.
They were like, bonkers stuff.
This is a plan that seems, in my view, grounded in a bit of reality.
I was quite impressed
by his delivery and by, like you say, his calm nature.
He kind of wants to almost do his business quietly and kind of short-footedly.
And I think given all the turbulence at the FAI in previous days, that's a welcome change from what we've seen before.
He also strikes me, he has no ego.
There's not an ego at large here.
I don't get a sense that there's an ego at large.
He wants to do his job.
Having come and done...
you know, a pretty senior job in the English FA.
And again, I think one of the most compelling parts or one of the compelling statements he said, you know, he has worked across Europe.
He knows what good in football looks like.
We're a bit off that here, but he, I think, is probably a good man to bring us to it.
Very good.
Here now is our interview with David Crell of the FAI and we'll be back for the post-match analysis afterwards.
