How do you ensure coverage in rural areas?
Is it poles?
Is it cables under the ground?
Is it a bit of both?
You've mentioned AI, I think, three or four times already, and I do want to focus in on it.
But again, we talk about it in the Business Post all the time.
We look at how we can adopt it and adapt it into our own work lives.
But for you as the head of Vodafone in Ireland, talk to me about AI and how does it impact on your job?
How does it impact on what you're doing?
And what is the focus about where Vodafone plays in the advance of AI in not only home life, but in business life in Ireland?
Because, you know, like my experience with AI bots can be, you know, they'll answer some questions, but often it can be frustrating because they just they don't address your fundamental query.
Have you found that in terms of your customer care that like it can only do so much, but it's not a full solution?
But what I can tell you is that... That's very important, actually, the way you just said, that's very important, yeah.
We have seen companies like Meta and other announced job cuts on the back of AI investment and the idea that AI can just do the jobs that a lot of people have been doing.
Where's Vodafone on that spectrum?
Do you see it as a way of making your company more efficient and therefore smaller by way of headcount?
But again, just to drill down on this, I mean, obviously, there are certain functions that AI can maybe replace or take off the workload.
But I suppose there's natural that there might be efficiencies delivered.
Are you saying now definitively that Vodafone is not looking at job cuts or kind of reduction in workforce because of AI?
Or is that something that may happen in the future?
