And I thought it was interesting that the Sedins, first of all, it's going to shock you to hear, but the Sedins were very, very classy throughout this, starting with condolences to the family of John Garrett and Ernie Punch McClain.
That was a very well-struck note right off the top.
And then outlining their vision and talking about connected, committed, and purpose.
And I want to start with that connection one, talking about they want to reestablish the connection, top to bottom in the organization, but also between the organization and the community.
And towards the end of the press conference there, they were asked, I think it was Dan Murphy who asked, has the level of community involvement from Canucks players slipped in recent years, and does that need to change?
And I thought it was very telling.
They talked about how Brian Burke,
when they originally flew to Vancouver, told them this is the number one organization in the NHL when it comes to community involvement, and they want to get back to that point.
And the line that stuck out to me there, and you're going to forgive me because I couldn't really keep track of which Sadin was talking at all times.
