We're now seeing an expected drop in power prices.

So it has the most impact as well when it changes.
Feeding into that as well, the government cut fuel excise, essentially made fuel about 26 cents a litre cheaper.
That's going to expire on June 30.
If it's not extended, and I certainly haven't talked about it yet, that will have an impact on consumer spending as well.
While we're talking about consumer spending, we touched on stagflation.

The next meeting of the Monetary Policy Board of the Reserve Bank will get the decision on the 16th of June.
We won't have inflation data for May by then because it comes out about eight days later.
So this snapshot, what we're looking at right now, this is the last look they get at inflation.
It's hard to know what they'll take from it.
What's the market taking from it?
As we wrap up, the RBA talks about inflation in really harsh terms.
I always go back to the previous Governor Philip Lowe who called it evil because it does extract a toll from everyone as prices rise beyond the rate that people can deal with, beyond the rate that wages are rising.
