I know, nothing like a pandemic.
I think Kate and I chatted, it's only two years ago.
It might seem like it was a century ago, but it was only two years ago.
Sorry, I'm going to throw through a couple of spanners in that.
In theory, I absolutely agree with you, Owen, I really do.
Unfortunately, though, I think the system has become a little bit too defined in terms of remuneration and getting remunerated with share options and therefore management are working sometimes too much towards the short-term performance of the companies.
And I think there's a couple of other examples that we need to when we discuss management crossing over with having shares in a company.
There are two great examples, actually three, Tesla and Facebook, Meta and News Corporation, where you have very large owner, CEOs, managers, directors, you know, Allah Zuckerberg, the Murdochs and Elon Musk.
that have a lot of control.
And that brings it with also some other issues for companies.
So in some cases, you get the split listing of shares where some have more voting rights, a la News Corporation and the likes of Meta.
And everything's fine when everything's going well, but when it's not going well and you have the CEOs, founders that have all the voting rights and you, the minority shareholders, even though they're very large companies, don't have as much of a say.
So I think the thing about I've really been thinking long and hard about this, given how much markets have changed over the course of this year,
And the thing that I think is so hard for new investors and all investors as we grow and we learn is that we try and put in place rules of what's good.
And you've just given a really good example of people having skin in the game.
Absolutely right.
But like everything, it's always shades of grey.
