It's great to be here.
It's funny because everyone keeps calling the HSA and FSA space unglamorous.
And by the way, uh health savings account, flexible spending account, just in case anyone hasn't heard of those things, they're uh tax advantage accounts.
Uh so you the uh general idea is you put money in and when you take the money out for medical expenses, you're essentially tax-free on those dollars.
Um so it's a great way that you
Can essentially
reduce your taxes and then in the HSA case build wealth over time.
Um it is kind of boring in some ways.
Um, and I think boring and unglamorous is honestly doing a lot of work to keep good founders and good innovation out of the space.
Um, having worked in gaming and all sorts of different other things that are consumer facing, I've come to learn that the glamorous markets are pretty crowded.
The boring the boring ones, as so to speak, is where the money has been sitting and
Uh
People's money, like literally untouched.
Um so the stat I always like to go through is that Americans are forfeiting north of three billion dollars a year in FSA money.
Half of all account holders lose some of it because that's the one where you lose the money um at the end of the year if you can't figure out how to spend it.
Um that's
Not really a glamorous problem.
That's honestly a design problem.
And that's where I think my background actually does start to make sense.
