Yeah, the technology is very appealing in its own right.
But a big argument for it is it removes the corruptibility risk of officials, I think.
Yeah.
And, you know, there's a lot of evidence of officials being corrupted quickly.
One that I thought was very funny is there's this issue in tennis of what's called court siding, where gamblers who are at the matches are betting before the sportsbook hears that a point went a certain way.
And sometimes overseas, the the umpire in a tennis match would input who won a given point.
And they were paid off by these courtside and gamblers to just be a little slow in tapping the tablet computer and saying this point went this way or that way.
And if you can get that 20 or 30 second edge, you know, where you're like a step ahead of the sports books, you can make a lot of money.
It's as subtle as that sometimes.
Yeah, I bet a little bit.
I was in New York when they legalized and who could resist pocketing thousands of bucks just to sign up for a half dozen sports books.
So I was doing a bit of betting then.
I lived in Colorado when my wife was in grad school and I was alone a lot.
So definitely betting a little bit back then.
Over the past year, I got to say, I haven't been betting nearly as much, sometimes not at all, because part of it is just hearing from professional gamblers and bookmakers how difficult it is to win.
You know, that 1% of people are making money, that if you do make money, they'll cut down how much you can wager very aggressively.
Oh, this is a problem.
Yeah.
People say it shouldn't be.
But I don't know.
