The term deer in the headlights is overused, but it actually is applicable because what actually happens to a deer is the eyes are really adjusted to the darkness.

And then the headlights are like the brightest thing possible.

It's just you in the bathroom and now you wake up and you turn the lights on.

You're like, oh, like you're a deer in the headlights.

That's it.

And it literally takes your eyes time to adjust to the light.

That's kind of pressure in the NFL.

Quarterbacks, you see the pressure and everything just, it's that moment in the bathroom between the morning, you just can't see anything.

And when Darnold, it does feel like sometimes the light comes on in their head, but really, they just aren't, their eyes are adjusting to pressure and they're able to see a pass rusher and they don't lose track of like, oh, there's Michael Pittman on a quarterback four inches shorter than him and he gets in the ball.
