And then they've shortened the seventh, the par three.
quite considerably.
I think he plays at about 150 yards now.
They've gone to what were forward tees up and to the right of the sixth green.
So we've got variety there straight away.
And then with the extra hole on the back nine added in, they dropped out the old 14th, which was perceived as the weakest of the par 3s.
Now, where did the logistics of an open come in here, Andy?
Well, moving the old 15th right unlocked nearly 200 metres for the practice ground.
Space, space and space.
Yeah.
So they unlocked nearly 200 metres for a practice ground to be moved closer to the clubhouse.
And the practice ground is the site for tented hospitality during an open.
So this makes access to the course easier, access back to the clubhouse easier.
I presume it makes exiting the course on a Sunday easier for everyone and all the fans, everyone involved.
And on the member side of things, there's a new short game area goes in on the clubhouse side of that relocated range.
So really happily, the members have great diversity.
There's a much enlarged hospitality space.
But it's worth noting, Andy, at this point in proceedings,
that, of course, in the UK and Ireland have had historically less work done to them for championships than American counterparts.
But really the footprint of these Opens and the successful Open Championship formula going forward means that members' interests will have to align with those of the Open and hope that they both align and both parties benefit.
