Now, I really like the variety, as I said, and there's other variety.
They've shortened the 16th, I think it is now, in the new Rota or in the
the new layout to become nearly a drivable par four, which is absolutely brilliant, drivable in the right conditions.
But I'm less set on things like a new and enlarged practice facility being a boost to members because I think they can often be a white elephant, Andy, because British and Irish golfers are not as enthusiastic warm-uppers as their American counterparts.
We just have a quick putt and a couple of hits and a bacon sandwich into a net by the first tee and that's seen us good for such a long time.
So these can just add to costs.
I think sometimes the new short game areas are an extended range.
But the rejigging of the practice ground has certainly been a large success in terms of an expanded hospitality area.

accessible and easier for fans to move around.
So this is so far from a new thing in championship golf.
So that actually gave us the current 12th hole in Brookdale, which is a beautiful picturesque par 3.
So not all change is bad, Andy.
I think we both agree on that.
And all these golf courses in the British Isles have been constantly rejigged to
suit opens and to suit events but it's it's sort of like uh it's like a it's like an old piece of news you know in the 60s they were saying the crowds are getting so big they're so big but it is true that we are outgrowing the ballpark a little bit at the moment um like if you a golf course is a living entity and as you mentioned it's historical but not only that it's living breeding turf and it's got dune land it's got so much more to it it's not just
