So how was it reported?

Um the two main reports, one was in the Telegraph in the UK and one was in The Guardian.

Um and both got picked up on social media.

The telegraph splashed with their their sort of lead paragraph was all about chemotherapy killing half the patients that get it.

Right.

And that's not anywhere in that paper does it say that.

Uh and I'm I've been through the press releases that went with it and nowhere in those press releases do they say that.

Okay, well, that's a good headline.

Yeah.

And that got, as you can imagine, amplified massively on social media.

Um and I saw some really disturbing

responses from patients and patients' families saying, Well, that's convinced me.

I've told my doctor I don't want therapy.

Now the study didn't compare how people went with or without therapy.

Uh so you know, people are making big decisions based on misreporting here.

And the Guardian?

The Guardian got it better.

They they actually pretty much covered the story well.

It was less sensationalist.

Um but you know, they made some important points.
