If you look over the decades, right, in the 1950s, it would have been impossible to predict the 1960s.
1960s probably would not have predicted the 1970s.
Things go in cycles.
You know, there's a sine wave of sort of cultural movement that exists.
But this one has really just gone in one direction for quite some time now.
And I think part of the reason for that is that millennials took until their mid-30s, late 30s to start having kids.
And so people didn't become mothers.
They didn't become fathers for a much longer stretch of time.
And so that group of people, those ideas had much more runway before people got into that period where they start to rethink things like that.
Because I've seen this with a lot of my friends, people who...
people who I hadn't seen, I had this experience really powerfully recently, good friends, but I just hadn't seen them and hadn't really kept in touch all that much for 10 years or so.
These were the two least political people you could possibly imagine.
I mean, the idea that they would even have an opinion on any political issue would have just been, it just didn't fit at all.
And when we met them again,
Yeah, and when you have people who are isolated and whose time horizon has shrunk down to their next fix of whatever it is that the culture's managed to addict them to, Netflix or weed or whatever.
Right.
When you do that, I mean, you can do anything you want with that population.
Because this goes back to what we were talking about earlier.
