the i agree i don't think he should have been put to death i think there were too many questions the fact that the family didn't want him put to death the fact that the prosecutor didn't want to put to death the current prosecutor wesley bell didn't want him put to death you said the jurors i wasn't familiar with that the jurors who prosecuted the jurors who were there on the case said no we don't want him but with that said with that said the one part i would take issue is i i don't think he's innocent
There was no evidence that he's innocent.
There were issues with jury selection.
They had a jury.
They struck black jurors, and the prosecutor at the time struck one juror, apparently, because he looked like the defendant.
That, to me, is grounds for a reversal.
That should not happen.
You're not supposed to strike jurors for bad reasons.
Race cannot be a reason why you strike jurors.
The other issue was evidentiary, that they thought maybe there was another fingerprint on it, but they couldn't test the murder weapon because it had been touched by prosecutors.
But the jury found him guilty.
The family thinks he's guilty.
That's why they want him to serve life in prison, not be released.
So I actually don't believe he was innocent.
With that said,
When you execute someone, you better be completely sure.
It shouldn't be, I believe he's guilty.
