Nancy Baird grew up as Nancy Perry.
She was born in January of nineteen fifty-two, number four of five kids in a blended family.
Nancy's dad worked as an aircraft mechanic and electronics technician for the US Air Force.
During the sixties, Nancy's family moved into the town of East Leighton, near Hill Air Force Base.
Nancy's mom, though she had a college degree at the time when that was less common for women, tended the housing kids.
