The official report doesn't say Tom went to the house, and it doesn't say where in the house Nancy's address book was located.
Tom mentioning such a specific detail, the kitchen drawer.
Maybe a clue, he was there.
After retrieving the address book, the report says Chief Ray Adams and Tom Jackson patrolled the city looking for Nancy.
They had one particular location in mind.
Furnoid.
Fernwood is a picnic area, and it's a bit out of the way.
To get there, you have to drive up a narrow road that climbs a mountainside a little ways east of the gas station where Nancy Baird worked.
The road dead-ends inside a dense cluster of maple and scrub oak.
