Because in my head, I sort of thought,

I'd kind of given up, not given up, but I just didn't know that that was going to be a possibility.

Even though I said that the Muppets were made in London and everything, it just felt so exclusive in such a small group of people.

But because I got on their training workshop in 94, at that point, that's like Charlie the Golden Ticket.

It's just so strange because pinch me moment is the way people describe it, but I genuinely was going through it thinking, is this really, I can't believe this is happening.

And also, I think it's called Paradise Syndrome, where you think things are so great that it's bound to immediately go wrong.

Oh, in my particular run, I'm literally like a lot of British performers.

I'm background, pigs, crocodiles, crabs, raccoons, all the background things in windows and walking through the back of frame and stuff.

All the kind of entry level stuff that, you know, still happens today when young guns get on side.

And there's all the stuff that I, again, as a kid, I loved watching all the background stuff.

There's all their projects are full of, there was a kind of a rule in old school Henson's that I heard about, which is, which is from Jim Henson is if you're in the background, upstage, upstage, upstage, like be as goofy and as silly and as wacky as possible.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, they do.

Yeah.

And it was, I mean, don't get me wrong, all the key characters in Muppet to this day in Muppet Features are the American Muppet performers who are very specific and they've all got...

their separate sets of characters that they all perform um and uh so the brits when they come over here we do all the background stuff so that's that's our job and then occasionally they jump in and do crazy background stuff there is something so magical i would say about 90s and 2000s kids telly and just that era itself yeah has anything about it stuck with you

I think I mean, there's sort of an improvisational ability that I have that came from doing live kids TV, which I've done ridiculous amounts of and lots of live TV puppets as well.

I mean, live TV, as you know, is complicated enough.

But then when you're doing it via a puppet, there's a whole bunch of stuff that can also go wrong or you can be glitchy.

So I guess it's the same sort of, it falls into the same canon really of thinking on your feet and making quick decisions and I suppose, yeah, an ability to improvise when things go crazy.
