Highly coherent.
So balance is lovely, and if a coherent life and circumstances permit it, great.
But what you really want to be is alive and accepting the compromises that come with it.
Flow.
What about flow?
So flow.
So first of all, we are introducing the concept of the flow world along with the flow state.
So we all know the flow state from Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, the positive psychologist who invented the term flow, the psychology of optimal experience, published back in 90-something.
And that's lovely as an idea in the zone, what have you.
Most people know what flow is and have had moments of experiencing it.
And so one of the first things we come up with is, okay, so that's the flow state.
the experience of being fully engaged in the moment where time stands still and I feel fully present, all that stuff, which is great.
Where does that happen?
So first of all, we're saying it happens in this place called the flow world.
So flow occurs when I'm fully in the present moment and that's really where the flow world is existing.
So let's go where flow can be found.
Saying once we posit the flow world is the place where you might enter the flow state.
And then on the flow state that we originally defined, there's this thing called the flow channel.
which is where the task at hand and my skillset are close.
So my capacity and what the task demands of me are really close.
