So that's great.
Again, you're also dealing with Davies, that whole fiasco, with Kone, with Flores, with Bombito, a ton of injuries.
Again, Canada's not Brazil or France or England where they can weather the storm with all these injuries.
So when you're deprived of some of your best players, the expectation level has to go down.
And I thought Canada was the vastly superior team in that first half against Morocco.
They just couldn't buy one.
Because they don't have the strikers commensurate to do so.
How do you get the striker?
And again, Davies is an incredible player in his own right, but that's not the position he plays.
How do you find a guy who can finish to that level?
And maybe Promise David in four years can do that.
Or maybe Jonathan David, whatever, whoever it might be, Kyle Aaron.
There's guys.
They're decent options.
But until you get to the point where you could put out a real transcendent superstar,
it's going to be hard to consider Canada at that level.
But again, we are in the final 16 of the World Cup, which is massive progress year over year.
I'm not trying to take anything away from that at all.
And I think there's a lot of talk about how it all played out and some of the tactics deployed by Jesse Marsh on the pitch and off of it that can be brought into question.
