This may be the first of several.
Uh fortunately it looks like this week we're dealing with that here across the country.
That's gonna weaken and break down, kind of build back to the West uh a little bit later on.
And then we're dealing with uh another bang another
Wetter period potentially here across the southeast before we may see a second one coming in as we get toward the middle of July.
So, with that in mind, that means our Bermuda high necessarily isn't set up in place, typically sitting over Bermuda, right?
And that would bring our systems into the United States and into the Gulf.
Uh, so right now it looks like we're gonna have a quieter season.
That's not to say we won't see a intense storm out there because I think you showed water temperatures earlier, 85 to 90 already here at the beginning of July.
Uh, so the Gulf is definitely going to be primed.
It's just a matter of that western wind shear being an issue for us here moving forward.
There you go, 89 off of uh uh the see Biloxi coastline there, 88 off there, Tampa, Sarasota area, 86, even in the middle of the Gulf back.
over toward the loop current.
So
We definitely have that.
Uh here locally.
And um so we'll be watching that closely.
But overall, I think the average is 14.
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw 10 to 12 named storms this year.
Hopefully, most of them are those fish storms.
