Yeah, he was solid in the Europa League.
Solid, as you say, I thought, against West Ham.
And actually, remembering the game, that horrible game, actually, the final game of last season at Old Trafford, he caused Villa a few issues with his positioning.
Did he play that, did he?
I think he did.
I think you might be right.
I've got a feeling I remember him at right centre-back and just the way the way the way that Villa set up in that game you know particularly in the first half wasn't particularly impressive and Victor Lindelof seemed as though he had like an acre of space to come forward and decide wherever he wants to go I know a lot of Villa fans don't want to be reminded of that game at the back end but
But yeah, I'm kind of, I'm interested to see how Manchester United try and target him because, you know, there's, I don't mean it to sound disrespectful, but there is a quality drop off between Konsa and Lindelof.
So if you're going to target one of the centre backs, it would be Lindelof.
So I'd be interested to see how Man United set up and what they do to try and get into those positions.
Yes.
Yeah, I tried to almost erase that mad, bonkers red card out of my mind, but you've just reminded me of it again there.
Yeah, it was a real rush of blood.
It's unexplainable, really, why that ended up happening.
Yes, yes, exactly.
I guess it just spoke of the almost scrambled performance that Villa had put in there and that was kind of personified that really, the kind of scrambled minds that were happening on the pitch at Old Trafford and Martinez made a horrendous mistake.
And then, of course, you come...
through to the summer transfer window.
And I think for all intents and purposes, Villa believed that there would be a significant sale earlier on in the window and there was a possibility that it could have been Emi Martinez.
And then as it turned out, things were delayed, delayed, delayed.
