Clearly, what Democrats saw as a scandal there was the use of that dignified transfer photo.
You never use that politically.
And it's one of those, do people have the muscle memory, the reasons why presidents don't exploit dignified transfer?
I'm not sure they do.
But I saw earlier in the week, and again, I was in Illinois and coming back, people were asking Democrats, reporters asking Republicans, I should say, if they had seen that photo.
And they had very, very...
common reaction every reporter's gotten used to for the last decade, which was that, oh, they weren't aware they hadn't seen it.
Ossoff was trying to draw attention to something in an indelible way so that Gabbard was aware of it.
Republicans are now aware of it because they think, look, is this the thing that's going to take Trump down and win the midterms?
No.
But the idea that Trump is infallible, that Republicans will defend everything he does, they do see weakness there.
They see, as we were talking about in the Mullen segment, they don't see
Republicans and the Trump brand as invincible the way they frankly did probably for a couple, I would say probably, the way they did for a few months after 2024.
So that's the fundraising email.
I'm just led off by saying there's a lot of this.
There's a lot of fundraising by the White House that offers
perks or cash or checks or access.
There's no intention of giving.
And the final thing I'd say is this happened a lot in the first term.
This fundraising operation would offer people a dinner with Trump.
