I was actively waiting for something to happen in our financial life so I could prod it a bit more.
I loved the certainty.
And even if it was a bill, I'm not talking about can't wait till payday.
I was familiar with that feeling.
But saying I can't wait until we pay that internet bill in a day because I'm going to get to type it into YNAB because, of course, no bank linking back then.
And just seeing it change and seeing the perfection of it, that appealed.
But it didn't really change the behavior, as I say, until I realized passive tracking and started with find the money first.
That's when it's supercharged.
That was the turbo kicks in at the right revs, right?
Yeah, especially because my background from budgeting was very much sort of large corporate style.

Running projects, managing outflows, looking at him.
It was never dealt in reality.

The finance director has decided that everybody needs 12% less.

But that might still mean you need to spend more, but you can't change your mind along the way.
If there was a finality that you set it in stone, then you stick to it and you're measured at the end of the year by adherence to your best guess 12 months earlier.
