And they know that with this 100 days coming, there are going to be a lot of polls and they had to know those polls are not going to be good.
They see what's going on in the economy.
They have their own polls.
And so you see him giving an interview to The Atlantic.
You see him giving an interview to Time magazine.
You see them doing this briefing.
Trump learned in the first term that he could sometimes change the narrative or at least distract attention, even if it was to something also bad.
And if he could do that, he could keep people from really locking into anything.
And I think we see him return to that strategy once again.
You know, I think it works in some cases.
In some cases, it doesn't.
I think there's a lot that they're getting done.
I think this sort of hollowing out of the federal government is happening and a lot of people aren't seeing what's going on.
But it's really hard to hide people's economic fortunes.
If people can't buy, can't afford the things they want at the grocery store, if they feel like things are getting bleaker for them, you can't hide that.
They're going to notice it.
You know, I'm not sure that's exactly what they're doing.
I think that Trump is undermining himself.
But you see Democrats, for example, going to El Salvador.
You see them focusing on these issues.
