Day one, you're doing.
Then you've got to basically seek a grant of probate.
So again, you've got to get a death certificate.
You've got to get the original will.
You've got to prepare an inventory, so you've got to know what the assets are and identify those.
You've got to advertise your intention to get a will and file material, an application, an affidavit, which is supporting material.
Now, to be fair, very often you'll go to a trustee company or a solicitor who will help you through that obtaining the grant stage, but ultimately you're the one responsible.
Then you get your grant and you've got to go and identify and locate beneficiaries.
You think, oh, well, it's all family, but not all wills just have family.
You might not know who the beneficiaries are and you've got to locate them and find them and inform them.
You've then got to start dealing with assets.
