The relationship is built in such a way that Hezbollah handles the Lebanese side of Iranian expansionism because the linkage is ideological.

Because it is not uh you know monetarily induced or or or material in essence, Iran can allow Hezbollah a lot of leeway to do the right things or to do what it needs to and trust that those are the right things insofar as Iran's um Iran's interests are concerned.

Now, uh, would Iran ever uh press Hezbollah to go beyond its needs or its its means?

I don't think so.

Uh I I think that's a good idea.

I think there are moments of existential danger to the Iranian regional project, which could threaten the regime in Iran.

And that would severely undermine Hezbollah, both from a material standpoint, but also from a spiritual ideological standpoint, if this fixture in Iran were gone.

So you take a situation like Syria, right?

I think this is the best example.

This is Hezbollah on May 2 May 25th, 2000, and after May after 2006, was the darling of the Arab world in a lot of ways because it was the first force, propaganda that was spun, the first Arab force that was able to defeat Israel.

Uh, right.

They had built up this image of the resistance.
