Here's your Trump money and like, no, actually you have to give us money.
Yes.
Uh and so I talked to a bunch of them for this story.
We called it the new majority makers.
Um because what we know is that as you correctly identify, uh the the the archetype of a majority maker, a candidate that Democrats put in a swing seat is, you know, they were either in the CIA or in the military.
Or they have some national security background, and then they take very vague positions on every single issue, and they have a moderate cast to them, and they get new Democrat coalition support or whatever.
This is very, very different.
So we've seen economic populists win these primaries in these swing states.

And then instead of pivoting to the center in the general election, we've seen them continue to uh you know display all the hallmarks of economic populism.
I was up in a district in the Bakersfield, California area with Randy Vegas, who opened his town hall saying, My name is Randy Viegas and I'm for Medicare for All.
This is a seat.
Trump won by two points in 2024.
He beat a D-treple seed backed moderate candidate in the primary, and he's still running on Medicare for All.
And he's still running in a way that is, you know, what would be termed progressive.
And we're seeing this all over the country.
