Fundamentally, he hasn't done that.
And the announcement in his Truth Social posts that he's dealing with an agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran is in itself an admission of a defeat of that objective as part of this.
And, of course, what we know is that Iran, in many ways, has been strengthened by this.
They're controlling the state of Hormuz.
They haven't given up the idea that they will control it and charge for it in the long term.
And, of course, we've also established that, actually, they have the ability to hold at risk a lot of oil infrastructure targets in the region more broadly.
And that's the thing which has strengthened their position as a consequence of this conflict rather than weakened it.
Will it lead to any disillusionment on Trump's part with Netanyahu because he was the Trump whisperer who was goading him into all of this activity?
Yeah, well, again, the reports overnight are that Netanyahu is not particularly happy with this.
But nevertheless, he's happy to go along with it because he recognizes that the Americans are calling the shots on this, literally.
But Netanyahu also got his line in there that actually if Hezbollah attacks Israel again, then he reserves the right to retaliate in kind.
So even though there is an agreement for there to be a ceasefire,
between Israel and Lebanon, there is a provision in there whereby he reserves the right to actually break that if called upon.

You had initially Pete Hexhead stopping the deployment of 5,000 more troops to Poland.
Then you had Trump announcing, yes, they are going.
Well, I think actually that just shows the chaotic nature of the decision-making process in Washington, whereby Trump is motivated by being spiteful and impulsive in terms of the way in which he does things.
So he was saying, first of all, there'll be more troops.
We would go to Poland, in a sense, moving troops from Germany to Poland.
