So I spent some time looking at the prioritization, and I actually reached out to the city staff to see if I could get the details of the scoring, because some of it looked really not intuitive to me, and apparently the detail scoring is not available yet. low-confidence

schedule a follow-up on this item when the detailed scoring is available because there's some real questions here. low-confidence

So as I look at it, it seems to me like the scoring system is putting too heavy a weight on safety on school routes to the detriment of pretty much all of the criteria, including safety on the Vision Zero High Injury Network. low-confidence

which is not consistent with the goals of all the other reports that have been done in the past in the Bike Pet Commission, like the Vision Zero Plan, the Climate Action Plan, the Local Road Safety Plan, the 2018 VTA County Bicycle Plan, etc. low-confidence

So, for example, a child died and another was seriously injured on Foothill Boulevard. low-confidence

And the ATP does include sidewalks that are proposed on parts of Foothill, but they're ranked 121 to 160-something to 184 in the plans, which is far, far below what it should be, considering that this was one of the most serious injuries that happened in our city in a decade. low-confidence

does not consider the high injury network data as much as it should. low-confidence

So for example, the number one most dangerous intersection in Cupertino, according to the Vision Zero High Injury Network, was De Anza and Homestead. low-confidence

In our priorities, nine of the top 20 most dangerous intersections in the city per Division Zero report didn't even make it into the ATP. low-confidence

And then the ones that are in the ATP scoring, that they're ranked well below, like, I think the average rating for all of them is around 44. low-confidence
