This is a tough job that they have in terms of, you know, balancing out all the criteria and balancing out all of the input they've gotten from the BPC and the PC and the city council. low-confidence

But the way it is right now, I think it's overcorrected much too heavily on safety on school routes and on cost effectiveness to the detriment of all other criteria, especially the safety in the Vision Zero high injury network, as I mentioned before. low-confidence

So to me, this scoring system is deeply flawed, and I would like low-confidence

I would like to have the staff revisit it before it goes to the Bike Ped Commission and before it goes to the City Council. low-confidence

So my recommendation would be to revisit the scoring system and to put less weight on the safety on the school routes and less weight on the cost effectiveness criteria to balance things out a little bit and put more weight back again on the low-confidence

intersections that are in the high injury network, especially the top 20. low-confidence

As I said, 45 percent of them didn't even make it into the ATP, which is shocking to me, honestly, because it is a stated city goal that we want to achieve Vision Zero, and this just throws that out entirely. low-confidence

And I would also say to add back things like the Foothill Boulevard. low-confidence

I don't know what criteria needs to change to put that up higher than 121st to 184th ranking. low-confidence

But given that that was one of the most serious injuries in our city's history and involved two children dying or getting seriously injured, it needs to be ranked much higher than 120th or 184th. low-confidence

So I don't know what criteria needs to change for that to happen. low-confidence
