Why didn't she?
She, well, I think her and her coach decided one area that they're really kind of working on was a speed endurance.
So that would be the last 50, the last 30 of a 400 metres.
Yeah, yeah.
It's fatigue, dramatically, yeah.
And I think, you know, with 100 metres to go, say in Paris, you could see things beginning to go left and right, a lot of wasted energy.
Ideally, what you want is things going linear, straight down the track.
And that would be speed endurance.
But you've got to remember Rashida's coming from like a speed base from a 100, 200.
So that will take a bit of time.
And that's kind of what you'd expect.
You would hope that maybe she could hold it just a little bit longer and be in the mix, come the line.
But this year they decided, okay, you know what, we've a longer year.
So the Worlds are in September.
We can afford to put a bit more time into the long, hard, grafty stuff.
And that's what she did.
And I think, you know, she ran a 600 metres indoors, you know, again.
So they're working on that speed endurance, the over distance work.
And I think they just kind of looked at, you know what, let's use this.
Because if we use this year as really a good solid base year, well, then that might put the groundwork in for the next couple of years leading into LA.
