The great BBC viewing public had just watched cricket on the screen with the occasional sound of a ball being hit.

No explanation, no commentary, no nothing.
And no one complained.
Wow.
Yeah, I just spent half an hour saying nothing and it was all, go away again.
So, I mean, one of the great changes, I think, over the sort of 30 years I've tried to do this is people expect you to speak more nowadays and they expect fewer gaps.
