We saw what happened in Japan when they had negative inflation.
The problem with having no inflation, Rahul, is
you are likely to delay the purchase of anything that you want.
So if I think that, you know, inflation is zero or that inflation is below zero and I need a new refrigerator.
Then I would say, why do I need to buy it today?
Because I can wait until tomorrow and it's likely to be cheaper.
If that were to happen, then the whole economy would just come to a grinding halt because nobody would go out and buy anything.
But because you know that things are going to be a little bit more expensive, say two percent, then uh you might say, Yeah, you know, if I need something, then I will buy it today because next year it's gonna be two percent more expensive.

But you don't want that either.
So you want something, you know, that is manageable.
And I think two percent is a a pretty good number to fix with.
