How are you doing, boys? Happy birthday to both of you. These are both getting older, a bit like myself now. It's getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm wondering how I'm sitting here doing this job again. But I have to say, you two are two of the finest USA players, still are. Two of the finest boys I've come to know in my time.

And I'm really proud to say that you are both my players, but also proud to say that you're friends and also people who I respect greatly. So have a great birthday. I hope that you continue to drop in and see us here at Everton. Everybody thinks so highly of you both. So when you get the opportunity, do so. Great to see you and happy birthday.

David, how proud are you by your team's performance to leave here with a point?
I'm thrilled to come away from a point from here because, you know, I think I watch Spurs a lot and I think they've got really good players, really, really exciting young talent.
And, you know, I've seen them win fives here and fours here and beat Real Madrid here.
So I think for our boys to come here and go away with a point tonight was a really good result for us.
Well, no time, because really the preparation was only this morning, because you're having to give the players the day to recover, and then really seeing who was fit, who wasn't fit, and the ones who sometimes it takes two days for their injuries to come through or they feel OK.
So I've got to say, great credit to them, because we're having to work really hard with not the biggest squad, and we've got a few long-term injuries, which has meant that we've not been able to change the team around that much.
When Obiang stepped up to hit it, what were you thinking?
Well, I was delighted we were having a shot, that's what I would say.
But I've got to say, when he went in, it was more surprise and disbelief that we'd taken the lead, because obviously, you know, Tottenham had so much of the ball and so many opportunities.
But I think, you know, there's another side to football when you've not got the best players, and you have to try and do that well, and we've done that side well tonight.
Was it almost not in the plan then to go ahead?
Oh, it was certainly in the plan.
It was in the plan from minute one to go ahead.
But, you know...
