One of the scariest parts of Project 2025 is he wants to replace career bureaucrats, people who work at the lower levels in so many federal government departments who are privately they vote, I'm sure, but they are overtly nonpolitical in their role.

They're not replaced with every new administration.

He wants to take tens of thousands of those folks and replace them with complete and total loyalists who also happen to be incompetent in many ways.

That's extraordinarily scary.

I'm cautiously optimistic he would not actually succeed at that.

And so when my audience calls and says, do I think if Trump wins, there will be an election in 2028?

I do.

I think there's going to be a lot of problems, a lot of strife, a lot of close calls, and he is going to have some successes if he wins.

But I do actually think that our our checks and balances are this is a low bar, but are strong enough that we will have an election in twenty twenty eight.

You don't think so?

So.

But do you agree that that would do you agree that he would not actually be able to get rid of the FBI?

I mean, listen, Cenk is doing a really good job of convincing me that it's extra dangerous to mess around with any Bobby Kennedy Jr.

stuff this time around.

Well, it's at this point clear that Trump's their only option.

There was a point in time I was talking to some Romney like Nikki Haley supporters who were saying, while it's possible, maybe it's someone else.

We're going to get behind Haley.

But there's folks who are now realizing it's either Trump or Biden.

They may even see another Biden term as maybe pushing up that top marginal tax rate a couple of points.

It's going to hit their checkbook.
