And during the 2016 campaign, Trump was saying, you know, if I become president, I'm not going to have time to play golf because I'm going to be so busy. podcast-host

And so there's this hypocrisy of attacking Barack Obama for golfing and then spending a lot of time golfing himself. podcast-host

But the weirder part about the following is when Trump is golfing, he's golfing rather than podcast-host

making some impulsive announcement, signing some harebrained executive order, humiliating the United States in front of another world leader or changing policy on the fly. podcast-host

And I kind of have my find myself having the same reaction to Trump's sleeping. podcast-host

But if we are people who disagree with the policies of Trump, there is this completely absurd silver lining, which is while Trump's golfing, he's not making horrible policy decisions while Trump's asleep. podcast-host

So it is this extraordinary place for American politics to arrive, which is he's at least not doing terrible president stuff when he is golfing or asleep. podcast-host

And none of that means that presidents aren't allowed to relax. podcast-host
