Southampton's appeal against being thrown out of the championship playoff final on Saturday has been rejected.

The match is going to go ahead, as we know, between Hull and Middlesbrough Hull City at 3.30 on Saturday.

The punishment shocked many, both in the legal world and the football world.

But is it a punishment that fits the crime?

And I think we might have...

And I think, Tom, you didn't see this being quite as draconian and heavy as it is.

And the speed of the decisions and the speed of the appeal, the certainty, I think that's taken many by surprise.
