I, my information diet is like, I read old books and I talk to smart, interesting people.

The way that I choose who I talk to is like the conversation we had.

How do I feel after I just had an hour or two hour conversation, Chris?

And again, I think people are just way too cavalier on what they put in their mind.

So like, I'm just going to sit down on X and I'm just going to, the algorithm is going to push whatever it wants into my brain and I'm going to sit there and receive it.

That's crazy to me.

It's like, you're influenced by everything.

You should be very careful.

The mind is a powerful place, what you feed it affects you in a powerful way.

It's just like, you don't put shit in your body if you care about your health and the way you look.

Like, why wouldn't you do that same thing for your mind?

But okay, so this ties to, I think, a large theme of the discussion that we can have today and a lot of discussions we've had in the past.

It's like, man, you get one life.

You get one life.

You have to do some, I do think work for most humans is like a source of meaning, at least for you and I. It's like, I feel really freaking good about the podcasts I make and the information I put out there and like what I'm putting out there.

And to play on this other end where it's just like you're just like junk food for the mind.

It's like this is your one shot at life and this is what you did.

You have to feel good when you hear stuff like that.

I would say, though, like the benefit to tie this together is like the benefit of reading old books is like I just finished rereading this biography of Joseph Pulitzer from the Pulitzer Prize.

And he built one of the most successful media businesses he was doing around this time of the Civil War.
