We've got none of that at the moment.
And you know, is it any wonder that people are in in increasing opposition to this stuff?
Well, it's perfectly realistic.
I mean, we're not gonna have sole control of all of this.
We're gonna have i you know, in a well-designed system, there would be a mix of different platforms that we're using here.
And maybe some of it would be US tech and some of it would be what's been developed in Europe with the examples like Mistral and others.
Some of it would be looking at what's happening in South Korea, where they're going, you know, hot to trot on this stuff and developing it.
Some of it might be open source models that come out of China.
Like I don't think we should totally exclude.
That as an option.
And then another chunk could be a distinctly Australian ethical AI industry that could be relied upon if we're going to put AI into government decisions or feed it into government departments, an actual something we could depend upon that would reflect our values and be ethical rather than, you know, whatever the latest iteration out of a ChatGPT is.
Like we can design this, but it means being
Willing A to stand up to US big tech, and our government does not seem to be willing to do that.
No one does, having some faith in ourselves, our ability to develop our own industry, and as I said, not the sole player, but part of a mixed bag.

Well, the answer today is no.
And I say again, what do we get out of it?
What do we get out of this massive expansion and growth?
If it's going to replace my kids' jobs, you know, um, if it's going to replace my friends' jobs, like uh tell me how that's helping.
