Um, but uh this was uh a memorable experience here as you know they have the uh the uh the American Legion post-1636 here uh with uh Commander Hardy, Lieutenant Colonel, retired.
Hardy uh was really uh
uh you know great and he came outside here into this courtyard behind us and you know normally you hear gunshots in Brooklyn but not from a musket rifle and they did uh they presented arms and uh they did uh they saluted the flag and a couple of shots were were fired off and um there was a moment of silence a prayer uh also as well
And uh you see in the video here, um, you know, it's a pretty pretty spectacular.
You know, he loaded his musket and fired three shots.
Um, and uh inside uh General Washington addressed uh those in attendance here.
Uh but you know this is great stuff.
Like every school should have their kids come here and experience something like do this.
They do this every year.
Supposedly there is a mass grave here somewhere.
In Brooklyn.
You know, I'm in the building business.
The builders I represented used to come across arrowheads and artifacts, but never muskets and rifles and uh, you know, uh bayonets, right?
And this was a bayonet charge that defended our troops.
Uh they went after the British and they saved our original American army.
We may not be a country today if they didn't take that stand here.
