Uh and they cross the East River at night.

You know, this is uh this is not a calm waterway.

You have currents ripping through there, seven, ten knots.

The weather was miserable.

Uh there were thunderstorms, I believe, that day, uh according to historic uh you know accounts that I've read.

And uh George Washington took advantage of it and the fog helped conceal the boat that brought over uh horse uh men um and weapons and other and they were able to stage uh that escape uh in the middle of the night.
