Yeah, yeah.
like set out to be like in this role.
So, I mean, honestly, for me, like I was initially a journalism major and my inspiration was Oprah.
Love Oprah.
And so she convinced me that storytelling was like one of the most powerful tools in the world.
And honestly, she wasn't wrong.
And what shifted for me was a pivot into organizational behavior and
where you get to marry the art and science of storytelling together and really understanding the intricacies and the complexities of humans and our behavior.
And so still people and the communication aspects is what makes the human beings tick.
And it was just applied to the workplace instead of a broadcast.
And so my first real exposure to all that the complexity that this space brings was at
a company called Draeger's.
And Draeger's is a family-owned specialty grocery store in the Bay Area, and so an Epicurean market.
And I was close to everything at once, considering the size and scope of the business, including having exposure to executives when I was in my 20s and, you know, like having exposure to leadership.
And so it blended everything together.
from accounting, operations, logistics, marketing, communications, and of course, the people work.
And I believe it's really where I started to gain a sense of feeling like what it means to be a builder, someone who doesn't just observe what's broken, but designs what's really needed.
And from there, my pathway grew larger.
