Dialogue is important, but it has to be –
with our own traditionals and and and culture like we can't expect people to get flown in here and they get isolated into their own little demographic communities and then people jumping up and down oh they're not assimilating they're not assimilating it's because the government's allowing it to happen you know my grandfather worked on the snowy scheme 1.0 back in the day and um
Where I grew up, there was a lot of European settlers that came out post-World War II.
And part of the deal was you had to speak a certain percentage of English language.
You had to have a skill set.
You had to buy in.
You had to buy into Australia.
And part of that was you had to work for a certain period of time where you weren't allowed to –
receive any benefits from the government.
You had to hold a job.
You couldn't commit crimes.
And you had to buy in.
Prove it.
You had to buy into Australia.
You couldn't even vote in that period too.
So basically, people would consider it slavery, I guess, if they're fully PC about it.
Exactly.
And they're earning... And my mates that I spoke about in Cronulla, they're Christian, right?
And one of the biggest...
things about the people that are coming out from Europe post-war, even if they couldn't speak the language, they were Christians.
