So, luckily, the bill's
to carry over.
We plan to take that time to educate legislators, and hopefully there won't be legislation in Maine because we don't believe that that's necessary and that, once again, governmental intervention is something that shouldn't be involved between franchisees and franchisors.
We have another bill, Senate Bill 73 in Massachusetts, that's been reintroduced.
We had a series of discussions with legislators who decided that legislation wasn't needed by that task force that was formed.
However, the same senator that introduced this bill previously has introduced this bill again, this time beefed up a little bit more, and hopefully we'll be able to convince the legislators during the committee hearing that that bill isn't needed as well.
That's pretty much it for franchise relationship legislation.
I'm more than happy to talk about
some of the more interesting, other interesting bills out there as well, if we have time.
Well, you know, this is, if I had to pick a favorite bill, I would say this is one of mine.
This is the Nevada bill, Assembly Bill 122.
And what this bill would have done, Paul, is it would have assessed a five-cent tax on any food item that contained more than 500 calories.
Now, the food aren't determined whether or not it's protein or whatever.
It was just 500 calories.
And it only focused on fast food restaurants.
So if you had the formal sit-down restaurant or if you had a grocery store or if you had a
a convenience store or a gas station, what have you, it only applied, it didn't apply to any of them.
It only applied to the quick service restaurants, if you will.
And so I'm on the plane.
I land in Las Vegas.
