I never gave myself that option.

There was no other option other than completing this bike ride.

There was no plan B. There was no plan B on this challenge.

But I was very fortunate as well.

So the world record was 117 days.

I was planning for 110 days.

And it wasn't because I wanted to smash it by a week.

When I sort of looked at things that were out of my control, natural disasters, coups, there was a coup in Nicaragua I cycled through.

Whether there's any third party influence.

It was interesting.

A lot of people are like, you must have seen amazing things.

I said, I probably did, but I was just so fixated on that bike.

There's only really 10 days that stand out.

There's all these factors that I couldn't control.

We call it fudge in the military.

We give ourselves a bit of fudge in the planning.

Other people will call it something else.

You have a target date, but if we have to creep into that, it's not...

It's not an issue.

So after the first week, we had severely strong winds down in Argentina.
