My model now for understanding what happens is we're always operating in a think, feel, do cycle.

We think thoughts, we feel feelings, and then we do things.

So I was thinking that I knew what I was doing.

I was thinking this guy knows what he was doing.

And I was feeling, I was also probably feeling giddy, like, oh, I'm going to make a lot of money on this, right?

Because that's it, that excitement, whether it's an adrenaline rush or something, like I was almost like tasting the extra money in my wallet, right?

at that time, or even being able to go to my husband and say, look what I did, you know, whatever it was, there was this expectation that there was going to be something as delicious as a hot fudge sundae or something at the end of it.

You know what I'm saying?

So that's what I did.

And it's only because I made that mistake that I can look back in it and say, you

Either I was like super excited about this, I was greedy about it, but I was obviously misguided in the way I was thinking.

It was not true that he was going to make me lots of money.

Listen.

If he had made me lots of money, then I would have thought that I just knew better than everything else.

I probably would have had a big smackdown, you know, like six months later and lost $100,000 or something, right?

Like we need to learn lessons.

So we just have to forgive ourselves for the lessons and not repeat them.

You know, even if it takes you two or three tries, but once you realize that you've made the mistake, like take the learning and do something with it.

And that was my decision at that time, because I'm like, I should have done better.

I worked on Wall Street.
