I don't know if she calls herself a financial therapist, a financial coach, whatever, but she has written many, many books on women and money, including Prince Charming Isn't Coming, Overcoming Underearning, Secrets of Seven-Figure Women.

So I led the book club for Barbara's group several months ago.

And we read my book.

And she told me, because she's read so many books on money.

And Barbara said, Debbie, I've read like 40 books on money.

And yours is the best beginner investment book that I've ever read.

But I really go into kindergarten language around investing because so many of the books start a step up.

They get you into first grade or second grade.

They assume some sort of understanding.

And when I worked in financial planning, the clients that I sat with, I would just start rattling off about money and funds and stocks and bonds.

And I would notice people looking at me like deer in headlights look.

And I would just like ask them, do you understand the difference between stocks and bonds?

They'd be like, no.

So I realized that I had to back up the conversation and write something that was very foundational.
